Entry Pass for Residents
The areas surrounding Ferrea is fast becoming a high-density residential zone and with that comes the inevitable rise in crime rates as evidenced by the number of reported cases in recent months. A more proactive approach is needed and our security system must be constantly upgraded to meet the challenges of the future.
The entrance to Ferrea is the first line of defense and perhaps the most important one against all threats. As part of our commitments to your safety and security, we will be implementing a new Entry Pass system for residents to streamline and standardize our security operations.
What is Entry Pass?
The Entry Pass is a system that allows residents to securely verify their identity to the security guards on duty at the entrance when entering via the non-RFID lane. It can be conveniently accessed from your phone via @FerreaBot on Telegram.
Who can use the Entry Pass?
The Entry Pass is available to all registered residents on our system at Ferrea.my. For those who have not yet registered or activated their accounts, please do so at https://ferrea.my.
Why Entry Pass?
The non-RFID lane was primarily designed for visitors but in some situations residents may also enter by simply waving their hands at the guard. This method of identification is not only highly insecure, it has also created a somewhat confusing & inconsistent experience for the residents.
The Entry Pass aims to solve this problem by creating a single-use, time-limited and non-transferable identification system that is digitally linked to the resident. It was designed to be quick, convenient and secure for both residents and our security guards.
How it works?
-
Open @FerreaBot on Telegram and tap on the Entry Pass button available on the chat menu or manually type
/entrypass
. - The bot will then return a new pass containing QR code which is valid for 10 minutes.
- Validate the pass by showing the QR code to the security guards on duty.
When will it be implemented?
The new system will be implemented starting from the 1st of November 2023. There will be a 2-week transitional period until the 15th of November to help residents familiarize themselves with the new system.
